INTERDISCIPLINARY IMPROVISATION
KLUB MØNTAGE is an interactive, process-oriented format for real-time composition, focusing on the exploration of new artistic expressions as well as communication, collectivity, and community. Since 2020, the project has existed as a transdisciplinary research initiative with a focus on new media, electroacoustics, and performance. Starting from a core ensemble, guest artists are invited to join a multimedia jam session, collaboratively developing an artistic language of sound, image, and space—opening it up to a participating audience.

Sessions
We regularly host interdisciplinary jam sessions with plenty of room for participation. Bring whatever you’d like to try. Plug & play, connect, explore instruments, visuals, installations, and performance. You shape the evening with us. We invite sound artists, video artists, and performers of all kinds to experiment together!

Møntage camp
MØNTAGE CAMP is an interdisciplinary research festival with a focus on media art and experimental electroacoustic music. More than 40 artists from different disciplines come together at Kunsthaus Urhof20 to collectively develop a temporary, modular laboratory for interdisciplinary collaboration and research-based artistic practice. Within open working fields, interactive improvisation structures, and a diverse workshop programme, participants spend a week assembling everything from sounds, software, performance and voice to light, soldering, ideas, hacking, thoughts, feedback loops and impro trips. A hybrid, collaborative mix of individual inputs and outputs gets developed, which is presented at the end of the week in a public presentation evening.
