GRØUND

This year, in relation to the annual theme, we open up a new research space for noticing, observing, experimenting, developing, and allowing things to emerge. The GRØUND is a reactive zone for ephemeral happenings, temporary interventions, movement sequences, theatrical intermezzos, spatial experiments, strange gestures, unfinished performances, miniatures, and whatever other states we wanna enter together.

Throughout the week, this space will remain open and can be occupied, activated, and used by musicians, performers, sound artists, dancers, listeners, observers, and non-performers alike. On the one hand, spontaneous experiments can take place here in the form of improvisations as part of nightly impro sessions; on the other hand, the space can also be used to plan, develop, and rehearse performative works, micro-dramaturgies, or narrative stage experiments.

The GRØUND can also be used for the presentation on Saturday, showing finished and unfinished pieces, processes, or fragments that have developed throughout the week.

Dieses Jahr schaffen wir passend zum Jahresthema eine neue Freifläche zum Bemerken, Beobachten, Ausprobieren, Entwickeln und Auftauchen lassen. Der GRØUND ist eine neue Interaktions-Zone für ephemere Happenings, temporäre Interventionen, Bewegungssequenzen, theatrale Intermezzos, räumliche Experimente, seltsame Gesten, unfertige Performances, Miniaturen und sonstige Zustände in die wir uns begeben.

Über die Woche hinweg bleibt dieser Ort freigehalten und kann von allen Musiker:innen, Performer:innen, Sound Artists, Tänzer:innen, Zuhörer:innen, Beobachter:innen und Nicht-Performer:innen bespielt, besetzt und aktiviert werden. Hier können einerseits spont ane Experimente stattfinden in form von Improvisationen als teile nächtlicher Impro-Session und gleichzeitig können hier performative Arbeiten, Mikro-Dramaturgien oder narrative Bühnenexperimente geplant, entwickelt und geprobt werden.

Auch für die Präsentation am Samstag kann der GRØUND genutzt werden zur Präsentation fertiger und unfertiger Stücke, Prozesse oder Fragmente die sich im Laufe der Woche entwickelt haben.
